Weekly Photo Challenge by Daily Post this week is to post a photograph representing ‘Thankful’.
… Thankful that my beautiful children get on so well together. Particularly as they decided to stay in Perth with their friends and father when I moved east. Knowing their close and supportive relationship allowed me to let go. To do what I needed for myself. Knowing that they are safe and well.
… Thankful that they are well and happy. Even tho I don’t hear from them as often as I would like. Knowing that as young adults they have their own lives. That they are mature and responsible. Content in the main. Yes I worry for them. Hope they are really OK. That one day soon they too will move east. So many better opportunities. But for now they are where they need to be. Surrounded by life long friends.
… Thankful that their father loves them. That he can take care of them. Hoping that perhaps they may grow closer to him. That his family are close to them.
Although this Christmas may be the first I do not share with them, I am thankful that they have his family to spend time with.
